Amir Khalighi

Author of the foundational paper. This page describes his relationship to the method using only the statements made in Version 1.0.

How to read this page. Passages set in the serif face with a Version 1.0 reference are quoted verbatim from the manuscript, with their claim markers. Other text is explanatory website copy. It is not part of Version 1.0, and where the two differ, Version 1.0 governs.

Authorship

§§4, 16

This developmental account also sets the scope of Khalighi's authorship. The evidence supports describing Amir Khalighi as the developer of the Transpersonal Facilitation Method and as the codifier of its contemporary formulation. The codification was AI-assisted, and Khalighi reviewed and adopted the frozen architecture and retains responsibility for it (§3). [P] The evidence does not support attributing to him the invention of the traditions or component practices from which TFM draws, nor first-proposer status for every 2026 term, sequence, or diagram. [P] His methodological contribution is therefore located in the developmental process through which inherited, adapted, and developed elements were progressively integrated, organized, and formalized as TFM. Exact first-proposer attribution for particular 2026 terms, sequences, and diagrams remains limited to what the surviving codification record can establish. [P]

Authorship. Khalighi developed the underlying facilitation methodology through practice and facilitator training. Documented curricular and teaching materials include opening and closing people and spaces as distinct tasks (July 2022), facilitator capacity and active container-support roles (July 2022), and a named Five Instruments framework (July 2023). [H-D] Khalighi also reports teaching intention as the criterion for selecting practices, experiential sequencing within a stable session structure, and the distinction between integration and transition. [H-T]

The present architecture and its named models were formalized during the 2026 AI-assisted codification process and adopted by Khalighi as part of the contemporary TFM architecture (§§3–4). [P] The first proposer of every term and sequence cannot be reconstructed, and no unsupported first-proposer claim is made (§3). [P]

The founder and the method

§7

Once formalized, the architecture is not simply a description of what Khalighi tends to do. It establishes standards against which any facilitator's work can be evaluated, including his own. [P] If the founder's facilitation departed from the Governing Constraints, bounded authority, or epistemic restraint, founder status would not make that facilitation faithful to TFM.

A methodology must be capable of constraining its facilitator. This includes its founder. [P]

Competing interests

Declaration

Competing interests. The author developed the Transpersonal Facilitation Method (TFM) and teaches it through the Transpersonal Facilitator Training Program (TFTP). He owns and controls Embodied Masculine Institute Inc., through which certification in TFM is currently administered, and he receives income from teaching TFM through TFTP. He therefore has a professional and financial interest in the method’s reception and dissemination. These interests, and the risk of founder bias they create, are also addressed in §14 (The Founder and the Method) and §16 (Limitations of the Present Account). The author declares no other competing interests.

Use of artificial intelligence

Declaration

Use of artificial intelligence. AI tools were used substantially in preparing this paper. Khalighi developed and taught the underlying facilitation methodology before 2026. In 2026, AI-assisted analysis conducted with Khalighi was used to examine the existing curriculum and practice record, and to differentiate, organize, name, and formalize the structures now presented as TFM’s architecture. Several constructs received their present formal expression during that process. Where the retained record does not establish who first proposed a term, sequence, or formulation, no individual first-proposer claim is made (§3; Appendix B). AI tools were also used for transcription and search of the evidence record, for critical audits of successive drafts (including audits conducted with different AI systems), for checking citations against sources, and for drafting and revising manuscript text. The AI-assisted audits are not independent scholarly review. The retained record does not preserve the tools’ model versions and dates of use completely enough to report them reliably (§3). AI tools are not authors of this paper and are not originators of the underlying methodology. Amir Khalighi supplied the curriculum, historical knowledge, and founder testimony. He made the substantive methodological judgments, source decisions, and evidence adjudications, and he human-verified the historical passages recorded as freeze-verified in Appendix A. He reviewed and adopted the architecture presented here, has reviewed and approved the final manuscript and retains responsibility for its content.
